“Reflexology is a science based on the principles that there are reflexes in the feet and hands that correspond to all organs, glands and parts of the body. Its goal is to encourage the release of blockages/congestion in and around the over 7,000 nerve endings in the feet while stimulating circulation and improving nerve and blood supply throughout the entire energy system.” Barb Brower
Think of reflexology as…It’s like giving your internal organs a boost of stimulation enhancing the ability to throw off toxins and regain balance for the entire energy system.
“Used regularly (2x month) reflexology becomes a wonderful way of supporting your health in a proactive holistic maintenance. By accessing the over 7200 nerve endings in the feet, you are in effect increasing the circulation and nerve and blood supply; allowing the organs and glands of the body to step up their function; increasing their ability to release toxins.”
Barbara Brower, NBCR
In October of 2005, The National Institute of Health (NIH) awarded Michigan State University (MSU) in East Lansing, Michigan, a five-year $3.1 million dollar grant to study the effects of Reflexology on women with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Click here for grant results.
